About Us
The Fliegerwerkstatt - a project of the social return Stiftung gGmbH
The Fliegerwerkstatt offers experience space with a focus on craftsmanship on 1400 square meters. In the last school year, 400 young people from over 16 nations implemented their project ideas - without any time or performance pressure. Through their own experience and full of enthusiasm!
'Working together in the Fliegerwerkstatt reveals not only manual skills but also a wide range of other resources. The generous equipment gives room for development and creativity - and relaxation.'
Oscar Beutlich, social and crafts educator at Fliegerwerkstatt
'I particularly like the moments in the Fliegerwerkstatt when a young person shows me their finished workpiece and says with a happy and proud expression on their face: "Look, that's what I've made!"'
Svenja Westerhoff, Management and Team Assistant Fliegerwerkstatt
'The Fliegerwerkstatt is a very lively place where young people experience that they can make a difference themselves. Openness, the joy of learning and discovery are the main focus - this makes every day an adventure.‘
Ramin Niayech, crafts educator at the Fliegerwerkstatt
‘I am Binta and I come from Africa. I really enjoy working with young people. I love trying my hand in the kitchen and cooking different dishes. It's also good for me to improve my German. Everyone here at the Fliegerwerkstatt is very nice.’
Binta Bah, Federal Volunteer
